Name, address, contact details, staff information, availability, services offered, and accepted insurance plans.
Patient Information
Names, contact info, and appointment details shared securely to facilitate patient care.
2. How We Use Your Information
- Platform Operations: Maintaining your public-facing clinic profile and matching you with patients.
- Growth & Marketing: Connecting you with new patients and managing booking requests.
- Account Management: Processing payments, managing your 1-year free promotion, and providing support.
- RCM Services: Facilitating insurance claims and revenue cycle management.
Regulatory Compliance
PHIPA & PIPEDA (Canada)
We act as a service provider under Ontario's Personal Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA) and the federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), maintaining strict compliance with health information privacy regulations.
3. Data Sharing and Confidentiality
We are committed to protecting the confidentiality of your information. We share patient booking information with your clinic, and with the service providers who help us operate the platform on your behalf (for example, payment processing, appointment messaging, and review-invitation services). We do not sell your clinic's information or your patients' personal information to third-party marketers, and we do not share it with other clinics.
4. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures, including encryption and access controls, to protect all data stored on the Toothie platform. All sensitive health information (PHI) is encrypted at rest and in transit.
5. Your Responsibilities
As a healthcare provider, you are a custodian of patient health information. You are responsible for protecting patient data once it is in your possession, in accordance with all applicable privacy laws and professional regulations.
